Keeping Our Community Strong: Inactive and Returning Revver Policy Update 🌟

At the heart of our platform is a commitment to providing world-class service, and we know that Revvers like you are what make that possible. To ensure all Revvers are set up for success, we are introducing a new policy for inactive and returning Revvers, starting March 31, 2026.

 

What’s Changing?

Starting March 31, 2026, any Revver account that has not submitted a project for over a year will be temporarily frozen for security. Moving forward, when someone returns to Rev after a long break, the process to get back to work will look a little different depending on current marketplace demand.

 

Why are we doing this?

Guidelines evolve, and we want to ensure every Revver is set up for success. Beyond quality and security, this is about balancing our marketplace. We want to ensure that when a freelancer is active, there is actual work available for them to claim.

Additionally, we’ve heard from many of you that project opportunities should go to the Revvers who show up every day and know the ropes. Streamlining inactive accounts allows us to keep our daily, active community as our top priority.

 

Does this affect you?

If you are currently active on the platform, there is nothing you need to do! This change only applies to those who have been away for more than a year. You can simply keep doing what you do best.

 

My account has been frozen/locked. What do I do? 

Right now, our standard Transcription, Captions, and Subtitles marketplaces are fully supplied, meaning we do not currently have project volume available for returning freelancers in these lines of service. To save you time, we are not currently unlocking accounts for these specific services.

 

However, our Legal Transcription (Legal TC) line of service is growing quickly, and we are actively looking for talent!

 

If you are interested in freelancing with Rev in this high-demand sector, you can apply to transition into Legal TC. Here is how to get started:

Please Note: Because our standard marketplaces are currently full, only accounts that successfully pass the assessment and are added to the Legal TC line of service will be unlocked at this time.

 

Once you’ve finished the Legal TC assessment, we’ll review your responses and send you an email with your results and next steps. Timing can vary a bit, so we appreciate your patience while we get everything ready for you!
